WHAT WE DO
We have very ambitious objectives
Normalise plant-based diets
To future-proof the way we eat, we believe it is both possible and necessary to put plant protein sources back at the base of the food pyramid, as originally intended by the Mediterranean diet.
Eliminate discrimination
We want to remove economic, social and regulatory barriers that prevent people from accessing plant-based foods or limit the space for alternative proteins to grow.
Future-proof public policies
We want to achieve new regulations and public policies that ease the transition to a food system ready for tomorrow’s challenges, built on plant-based foods and open to other alternative protein sources.
We fight fake news
It is essential to restore trust in science by combating misinformation about plant-based diets, promoting accurate, evidence-based information. Through educational campaigns, expert engagement and strategic use of social networks, we want to ensure the public can make informed and conscious choices.
Furthermore, it is essential to update nutritional guidelines for institutional catering so that plant-based options become the norm, while respecting individual choices and ensuring no discrimination.
We act at the institutional level
For millennia, the human diet was predominantly plant-based, until the introduction of factory farming in the twentieth century made meat accessible at low prices, causing consumption to soar.
This has had negative effects on both health and the environment, which we are only now beginning to fully understand.
By acting at the institutional level, we want to set things right, supporting the evolution of legislation and enabling a food system built on more ethical and sustainable production. The first step is redirecting the direct and indirect subsidies that currently support factory farming towards local agriculture and local varieties intended for direct human consumption.
We launch innovative legal action
Everyone must have the full right to choose a plant-based diet, not only in their private sphere but also within public and private institutional catering.
Based on the principle of non-discrimination, we are committed to eliminating every obstacle that prevents or makes it excessively difficult to choose plant-based food. This includes the lack of sufficient and nutritionally adequate options, which effectively restricts choices for those who use canteens.
We build strategic alliances
We are actively building a network of allies, including health professionals and environmental organisations, to strengthen our commitment to driving real change in public policy and consumer behaviour.
A future-proof food system requires deep cultural change, institutional support and collective action. Only by working together can we build a future where food is a source of health and wellbeing for all, while respecting our planet.
HOW TO SUPPORT US
This project is just beginning but we are already planning many actions and we need the broadest possible support to make them happen. If you can, you can donate to support our work.
A monthly donation is the best way to help us plan our work as effectively as possible.
